Jimmy Chiu Hon-kuen

Jimmy Chiu Hon-kuen graduated from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) with a Master of Music degree in Trombone Performance, under the tutelage of Zachary Bond in 2021. He was a member of the Young Pro-Platform (YPP) of The Orchestra Academy Hong Kong (TOA) in the 2021/22 Season and was selected as a Fellow of TOA’s Fellowship Programme receiving professional orchestral training with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HKPhil) in the 2022/23 Season. An active trombone player in Hong Kong, Jimmy is Principal Trombone of the Hong Kong Symphonic Winds and regularly appears as a guest player with professional orchestras such as HKPhil, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Opera Hong Kong Orchestra and Hong Kong Professional Winds.
